CPM Advertising – CPM (Cost Per Mile) advertising works in a different way as the method of revenue generation is different. In this, you get paid on the number of impressions or web page visits where the ads are located. The amount would vary as the web page visits change. The higher the amount of visitors your web page gets, the higher your income.

 

Direct Banner Advertising – This is a long range prospect and can be beneficial in the long run. In this, you sell your own ad space and display banners that seem to be the most profitable for you. For this, you need a large audience and can take more time than other techniques.

 

Text Link Ads – Text links are also an effective way of generating income and are easy to handle and manage. This involves displaying links in the form of text to other sites that offer a price for the same.

 

Affiliate Programs – This is one of the most popular ways of monetization as you get paid a commission when your readers buy something from another website or perform an action.

 

RSS Feed Ads – With the increase in the flow of information on the web, RSS feeds have also become an important resource to generate income by including adverts in the feed footer. People are quick enough to use the RSS feeds to make profits.

 

Other Ways to Monetize Your Website

 

Exclusive Content – There are websites and forums that charge some fees or membership to allow users to participate in a discussion or view their content which are only exclusively available to them. The content holds significant importance in its area and is a priced commodity for which the user is willing to pay.
